Most popular size smoker for fundraiser

Post by argolee504 » May 1st, 2012, 4:52 pm

I talked with a friend of mine who wants to build a smoker to raffel off as a fundraiser for the lady with cancer. I had talked to him about the smokers built here and we decided to ask advice on what seems to be the most desirable size and style smoker to raffel off. Thought about the plans for sale here but just wanted ideas on exactly what style and size would be the most attractive and what a decent ticket price would be. Planning to get it built as fas as we can "of course we will post pictures" and then draw for it right after the big car show in august. Some local businesses will donate a part of the materials so . Had planned to park 8it arround town to help with ticket sales. Any advice would be appreciated. after that we wil start the big dream smoker. Thanks again for everything

I would think a back yard size would go over the best. I think something like a 100lb bottle would be great. Big enough to use for a gathering, small enough to use for just 2. Maybe try a UDS also, they are fairly cheap and easy to build. Good luck!

BBQ is just smoke and beers!
Usually more beers than smoke.

Here where I am from Alabama, we have made several that will go in your receiver or can be used at home also. Make it attractive looking something that will draw people to it. Make it very functional yet different. Tailgaters, hunters campers like the ones we built. I wish I was closer to you I would donate all the material and free labor for that cause. You are doing a very admiral thing, It tells me a lot about your heart. God luck. And the lady whom I do not know will be in my prayers

x2 on the small back yarder. I would also look into a 20 or 24 diam. by 48 length. I think we can give ya the hook up on the plans also!
