It's a sad day when..

Post by Brewery » May 1st, 2012, 7:25 pm

all the junk yards have closed up and there's nowhere nearby to go hunt for "treasures"
Seems as though steel prices the past few years have convinced everyone to scrap everything and close their doors :((
Where's a guy to find junkyard goodies without junkyards?? :-?

I think its all around it just takes a little looking. AKA roadtrip! Old farms are a great source.

BBQ is just smoke and beers!
Usually more beers than smoke.

There are still a few in Tulsa (hour south of me) just nothing local anymore. There is one place left that hasn't sold everything off but instead they now wont sell anything...acres and acres of priceless junk just sitting there rusting away

I get told I'm a bit of a hoarder when it comes to just about anything metal. I just tell the old lady that the big guy upstairs made us guys instinctively collect "awesomeness"
