I really like em all. As far as the drain, i think it will work fine assuming the other end will go up so that all the liquid will come out. I am not a fan of running the stack to the grate. Heat naturally rises so, i feel you could get some stale smoke. The intakes are fine, use what u like and what is easy!
BBQ is just smoke and beers!
Usually more beers than smoke.
The drain will work fine. No real reason for either except personal preference.
The vent looks awesome!
The air intake looks great but i prefer the round or rectangle method on mine. no real reason tho
i was thinken of the heat rises theory, my stack is two inches into unit, my store bought crossflow smoker has the stack is half down into CC. i get my fire box door back tomorrow, i did the design you did, as far as air intake, i like the look, no other reason,,,,,,, sure is a clean build you got there Ts.
Those checker plate handles look the part! , the ones on the tailgater aren`t too shabby either!, by the way, did you train to be an undertaker at some stage!
.....I like the concept of the stack shape...that is for sure outside the box!!! I would think that cutting off the intake up higher is going to benefit more as the flow of smoke would be more fluid like that way.....other than that I would say its total off the hook man!!!!!!!!!
If you can't fix it by sheer force or cursing......then it can't be fixed.....
Thank's Frank,DC,66,and DB, it is like I told Frank I really know very little if any about the dynamics of a cooker we just started building them 4 real!!!! I am certainly more than willing to listen and take in account all the comments and advice I can get especially when people r genuinally trying to help. Arrogance is what I do not like and have run into that on other Never mind I will get off on a tangent. OK OK Ok I kinda feel like I know you guys a little now, has anyone noticed that my punctuation sucks!!!!!! HA HA and my and my words run together. I am not the best speller either. You guys taught me how to post pics but honestly, It would be futile to try and teach me English. We have a saying where I am from "you can't make chicken salad out of chicken
crap". Tyler told me yesterday when we were discussing something, work related, He said dad the effects would be so" minuscule" Dangit Boy, I know what it means but where did that come from it was just funny to me. So our policy is gonna be we are going to come up with a new word everyday. So get ready. come on guys!!!! I know you can do it!!!! But you got to use it in a sentence
SPOOGE! ; any not-totally-identified slimy stuff that's in or on something where you wish it wasn't ...
Example.: "Annually I take my smokers to the car wash and clean the Spooge out of them"

Rick I like that, I really really do. I use to read the readers digest and there was a place called "inhance your vocabularry"<<<< not spelled right but anyway, I will now throw away all my digest
...but one a day is a lot - how about one a week?
make it a site project - that shouldn't be hard (from all these posts) to have a weekly addition to the list...

Yea Rick one a week is plenty.. If it was one a day we would have to start our own dictionary. I know one thing if this stinking doctor does not hurry up and see me I am OOH (out of here) they over book and I have a policy and is.... I ain't waiting too long!!!!!!!!!!!!
I started a habit over 30 years ago. I wait 20 minutes - unless I'm hacking up a lung I reschedule and leave. They got the idea a long time ago ... I'm sure it's in my file somewheres ... (problem case)
