fB/CC opening redesign

Post by Back9Q » July 4th, 2022, 6:09 pm

Now that I have had time to cook on my offset build in cool as well as hot weather want to redesign my opening to get hot air out of FB quicker. Right now just have standard rectangle with appropriate opening size but thought about building a ramp up into CC similar to Jambo/Outlaw. May start it halfway up the inner FB wall. By doing this how does increasing opening size with a ramp compare to that of just a straight through hole? Imagine an increase in airflow but how will it affect temp swings and ability to control temps? Outlaw example below

If you look at dacolson's builds on the forum, he didn't increase the throat and he said that it worked great. I believe that he used a design that was very similar to a jambo.
