Well, my wife (a mother herself) said to tell you to make one with apple pie filling and cinnamon. kind of an appetizer of sorts. fry the apples first then make them into filling. make sure the apples are tender before adding them to the fatty.
and since you cant make just one, make an Italian sausage and pizza stuffed one and after it is done, smother it in mozzarella on the outside
Jimmy Dean original or hot is excellent but if you have a local butcher shop where you can get fresh ground locally raised pork sausage then go that way. Also I've had better luck using a non-seasoned bacon and let your own smoker add the smoke flavor ... A core of mild pico-de-galo (sp?) works well too ...
And on the eighth day God created barbecue …. because he DOES love us and he wants us to be happy.

Thanks Rick. I've been surfing around looking for ideas. I think I'm up to about 10 so far that I really want to make. I like the butcher shop idea. I've got one right up the street. Classic shop. It's been there since 1885.
