Dynomite! Looks great TQ!
Are you going to vent the cook chamber separate from the warming cabinet?

Yes Frank I will vent cook chamber @ firebox end. I wiil probablly add another vent midway of cook chamber because I may add charcoal grates that can be removed, What about counter weight placement on the doors never done that but might like too.

Hahaha! You are ate up brother!
I just put my counter weights at about 60 degrees and leave the tube open. Once the doors are finished I add round bar or rebar to the inside of the tube one stick at a time until the weight is right. Then weld in place on each end and weld on the caps

Was that package from Fed EX? Oops, that might be the papers your wife wanted. :P
By the way, I think it is swell of Tyler to give free bumpers to those that signed the papers!

Smokeone, If they get rid of me. The consequences are::: Tyler will run out of square tubing, cause he keeps dipping off into my stash. Heck I hid some of it so good I can never find it. Sharon will have a problem finding someone who can delegate Task like" big Daddy" If you can beleive all that. Plus if you dont take her hunting often she will be really mad!!!LOL

Trailer is almost ready for paint

glad I posted this pick almost forgot to weld that overhead on the opening to baffel plate

Image

Image

I had an extra head lying around and decided to add the grill up front it can be rotated 90 degrees or taken off

Image

I kinda like this trailer. but I wil not have it much longer me and my wife are leaving for Ohio Thursday. The trailer is a gift to my stepsons. They due not have a clue about this I was asked some time ago if I would pull my trailer up and cook for a big event they are having next weekend. It is an auction and cook to raise money for some misssion trips. Some of them are engineers/nurses and so on. So I told my wife it was laid on my heart to build one and give it to them for there future endeavors. It kinda gives me that fuzzy feeling inside. I have always told Tyler there are 2 kinds of people givers/and Takers. Leave this world being classified as a GIVER!!!!!

We are just starting to get into building cookers and realize we have a long long way to go. But we do try and take pride in what we do. I have learned a whole lot from this site and it's followers. Thank's to everyone of you, because whether you now it or not you all are contributers!!!!!!.

Image
our boat is almost done. I am truly proud of Tyler he built all of this from the ground up. He is truly headed on his way to being a master craftsman

Image

Tyler finally got around to building bumpers for his truck. He has built some many. People think he has patterns or jigs. not so he pulls a truck in the shop looks gets a vision and is gone.

Image

I have been out of commission for a couple of days and missed this site. I love this place there are so many talented people here!!!!!

Thank's DB I appreciate that, This is a really cool place with diverse people. Yall have a happy mothers day also. I am at the refinery working today. It was 2 yrs ago that my wife called and said I needed to get home "my mother had passed away it was the most gut wrenching heart breaking moment of my life. I am not sad I miss her everyday but I know she is in heaven, and that is what matters to me. Love em while you have em. I am fortunate that I have no regrets

Very nice! One heck of a cooker there! :kewl: Your stepsons will be really proud of that. Hope all goes well at the benefit!

You might be new to cookers, but it looks you can build a darn fine looking unit. You and Tyler have great skill!

Thank's smokeone man it is so fun to build a cooker. I hope one day we will learn enough about cookers that we can do it as part of our business.

I am goig to have to be at the refinery at 4:00am in the morning for a twelve hour shift. Tyler said he might paint the trailer for me if not I will pait it tommorrow night. I need to cure the cooker paint and wipe all my grates down with oil. Do you have a clue how long it took me to type that OMG!!!!!!
