Welp.......heres what I got for 200 bucks.
There is a 4x10 sheet of 22 gauge laying on the bed of the trailer.
This was the best part of the day.
From this point the rest of the day went down hill fast.!!!!!
I had to get the steel today by noon, and I have no place to store the 22 gauge. So, I have to get it cut up for the door skin so that the left over chunk will fit in the garage.
The more I looked at the smoker the more I decieded that the door flange would not work. AT ALL!!!!
This is the pieces that I relief cut and bent and welded back to make it all pretty. >>>>>>>>> Then today I had to cut them off. AND weld them back on to the back side of the front lip.
Let me tell ya....... I have metal grindings in places where they shouldnt be!!!!!!!!
Cut ground and rewelded took about 4 hours.
That left me a little time to work on framing out the skin frame. ( Since I guess this is actually a frame less Chute-R-Do thing )
I have plans to work on the door first thing tomorrow. I hope.
Very first flange, not bent yet.
The used stuff costs about a third and takes 3 times as long to get it right.... Zero sum game until you look back at what you spent your whole day off doing ...
...but then again I can usually find something to b!$@% about ...
And on the eighth day God created barbecue …. because he DOES love us and he wants us to be happy.

The wife hasnt noticed the bed yet LOL its sitting a little lower then it was this afternoon. HEHEHEHE
Here is the progress from today. I had a tough time staying on track but I did get a little work done anyways.
I framed the door right against the cabinet so that my door would be just as unsquare as the rest of the build.
Had to use 1/8x1 1/4 angle. The chanel they had was 3/16 and I didnt want that.
So once again it took a little more work but now that part is finished. Believe it or not but the silly door took 46 feet of angle to build the door.
And this is how us tards measure and mark so that we get it right the first time.
Up until today I had not used 3/32 7018 rod.......boy was I ever missing out.
Dont get me wrong I love my mig when its got gass.
I hate the fact that its always sitting about 12 inchs to far away to reach what I want without moving it.
With the stick burner I have 50 feet of leed to play with.
And the 3/32 was a pleasure to run. Even my vert ups looked half way decent.
Now does anyone have a shop as awesome as mine. ???? And I only caught it on fire once today !!!!
Next up is the allmighty Metabo cut-offs that I always talk about.
Heres how I pick um up, around 65 bucks a box.

Yes, looks like you are alive! Either that or youve got a good group of elves helping you out.
Looks like all you need is to skin it up. Heck you should be done before the day is over.
BBQ is just smoke and beers!
Usually more beers than smoke.
