Early morning here too, unfortunately mine is to go into work and try to help get us caught up some..... I'd much rather be firing up the smoker or helping a friend with theirs! Hope all goes well for ya today
This hobby is going to put me in the poor house! Thankfully I have a great Mrs. Brewery who understands lol
Starting to trim doors with 1 1/2" x 1/4" strap this eve. I have a to suprise a friends daughter with a trampoline tomorrow (meaning I have to go buy and get it put together while they get to play at the park!) so no smoker time but it'll be worth it seeing the look on her face when they get home ;)
Haven't accomplished much lately but trying to get doors to fit this eve. I don't remember who posted this idea on how to fix sprung doors but whoever it was thanks for sharing, it's working well!
Well I'm going to have to change my approach, after getting doors to fit ( which was all my floor jack wanted plus some) the sprung back a little after a few days, I was afraid it might happen and am glad I waited to weld hinges on. Think I might have to use a little heat and "over" bend them... Don't know what else to try. That 3/8" pipe doesn't want to go back to where I need it
And on the eighth day God created barbecue …. because he DOES love us and he wants us to be happy.
Current smokers: Egor (trailered RF) and Easybake (tabletop pellet drive)
I'm thinking i need a rose bud but I've had a few people say they are bad news unless you have a really big acetelyne (sp?) bottle, anyone know if thats true? I don't know the actual size, havent had to fill it. Does it say on bottle?
have you ever considered scribing a radius on a steel table in the center weld a pipe and jack off of it using a porta power jack. you will have to tack the door to fit the radius, then make some permanent strong backs that weld to the door.
I toyed with the idea of making some strong backs but am lacking the steel welding table. I think I should go that route tho to prevent them from springing on me.
