:LG: That came out really cool! I like the way you did your drip pan/collection tray - no bucket outside and it looks easy to clean out.

Glad to hear it's working good for you - this design should really spoil you for long cooks like comps.... :D :kewl:

I asked for fire rated bats. They gave me mineral wool insulation. It was about $1 per square foot. Works great! Not as good as the high dollar stuff but more than adequate

So we're talking about something rigid you cut with a saw? ... or is it more like standard fiberglass bat insulation?
I just want to know what to ask for when I buy it ... fire-rated mineral wool insulation?

it is very similar to fiberglass bats, only more itchy....
