Hi my name is Robbie I live in middle Tennessee I am a firefighter/Emt-iv I am new to smoking but gonna give it a shot my plans are to build a uds and a 500gallon smoker have a good day

Welcome Robbie! :welcome: The firefighters around these part sure love their "Q" that's for sure - you're gonna have a lot more friends you didn't know about when you get those cookers going :)

Franks video on building a UDS is THE way to go ... I think one of them doesn't even require welding!


And on the eighth day God created barbecue …. because he DOES love us and he wants us to be happy. :D

You have come to the right place to get hooked on a new addiction! As Rick said Franks UDS video rocks. You can build one without welding, and be cooking in no time. Once you get that one figured out, you will want one of every kind! :D
It is the perfect obsession for a FF, especially one that works 24 hours. Tends to give a guy some extra time to practice and keep the crew happy. :needfood:


BBQ is just smoke and beers!
Usually more beers than smoke.
