Everyone the Taste of Downtown Danville BBQ Contest is a week away and they are still looking for competitors. You can sign up on CompBBQ.com and pay on line. Here is the direct link to register - http://downtowndanvillefalltastings.compbbq.com/

Over a $5000 prize pot for $250 entry. It is a first year contest with 16 teams registered. Would be a great one to compete at!

Looks like they still need another 4 teams just to cover the purse ...
I'm already scheduled next weekend or I would consider it -
Come on guys - can anybody get away next weekend? :D

And on the eighth day God created barbecue …. because he DOES love us and he wants us to be happy. :D

I hope Dink sees this one, that's only about an hour from him.

If it can't be smoked .... try frying it. It that don't work, it's probably best just left alone

Where you going next weekend Rick? River City?

I too am already committed to River City Roundup in Omaha. Hard to beat a competition that is a 15 minute drive across town.
