Sorry Rodcrafter - an 055 is the model number for a Traeger Junior - their smallest and lowest priced unit and this is the pellet drive off of one of those models that will be going into a totally unrelated build I call the EasyBake Twins (different thread - stay tuned).
Until I got it cut and bolted in I didn't realize how little height I had to work with - anyway this should work about the same as the original - we'll see ...
Sort of an end-fed RF/UDS contraption ... if it were a dog it would be a mongrel

Welded an angle iron tab in the back of the cook chamber about midway...
Mounted the probe to it....
Cut and installed a piece of 5/16" brake line to protect the wire from accidents ...
Completed probe mount ...
Now I just need a small cover to dress up the outside and finish the trip to the drive unit ...

Don't have much time tonight but I wanted to get at least a little done...
I wish I could remember who to credit with this idea but it's in here somewheres....
Had to use the tank to bend some hoops to use later while the tank is still "rollable"
Surprisingly easy to do - and barehanded - no hammer needed.... gues that's why they call it mild steel...
3 total - 1 for the door frame and 2 to hold the tank.
I wonder if this will work to align the door...
Well what do you know... it did.... more later

Fun to watch ... not a clue what I'm watching but fun none the less. I'm like the kid who realizes he was on a field trip as the class leaves the zoo parking lot. I'm hoping for subtitles or maybe I just wait until its finished and do the thread backwards. It aint easy being this dense
If it can't be smoked .... try frying it. It that don't work, it's probably best just left alone
Solo we have GOT to split a bucket of Nice tea one of these days...

Handle brackets were a pain - plasma cutter's looking like a better idea all the time....
That's gonna be an axle...
And that's an axle too ...
...but it needs some more camber...
Starting to look like something now ...
Can't have a cooker without a guage!
