Thanks for the explanation on the pellet drive. Your turning that little bity cooker into a very different item. I like those wheels alot! Where did you get those?

I usually stop and check scrap iron places when I get a chance and picked those up over the past few months. They were off of very old farm equipment - and they have the rust pits to prove it... :D

Really came further this weekend than I thought.
Still need to finish the air cleaner, put an extension on the pellet hopper, tank straps and a tow bar.
The goal is to test burn next weekend... :D

That will great to look at while the smoke is coming out the stack. All you will need is some tractor sounds in the back ground.

Very cool.

If it can't be smoked .... try frying it. It that don't work, it's probably best just left alone

Thanks for the kind words fellas - and heck yes - RF would work too if you add a firebox ... I'm hoping I got the transfer openings around the baffle correct to where an RF won't be necessary.

I got some folks bugging me to paint it red, blue, yellow, ... amazing how opinionated folks are - and they don't even farm! :D

We have ignition....
An angel got it's wings today!

There's something about seeing that first smoke from the stack of a new cooker ...
Put maverick probes front and rear to check how even the temps were.
Took about a half hour to heat up the tank and settle down.
Right side was within 3 degrees of the traeger probe.
I choked off the left side more since it's directly over the hotplate but it was 20 degrees cooler.
Looks like I'll have to tune that end and let a little more air around the small BP ...
Image

2 racks of baby backs...
I had the butcher square them up on both sides so I ended up with 6 pieces.
Image

The "air cleaner" acts as the prop rod for the door ...
... and the door handle stayed nice and cool.
That's the tow bar hanging off this side.
The seat isn't functional but I've discovered since I took this pic that it's a great place to set a refreshment and gloves...
Image

I think it'll be a solid little cooker ... :D
