Here us go guys I think this is about as finished as it gets...I might do a little detail paint on it somewhere. Should I even add a therm at this point? If I was going to use it I would just want to test with digital anyway, and probably end up using it most of the time.
That looks great!
If you're going to stay with the digital then make/install a removable bracket to hold your digital so the case won't melt. Near the door so the lead will reach but out of the way - I'd prolly go centered under the main CC door on the tank ... at this point it's perty easy to sand a little paint off for welding then retouch it ...

THAT came out pretty darn nice. its pretty cool when the ladies take interest in projects, I get mine out sanding and painting often, they appreciate what your building more too....
and What Rick said. Dial Thermometers are mostly Bling anyway on smaller builds. They work just fine as long as they are calibrated. I use a Maverick ET-732. it has a remote readout and 2 probes 1 for food and 1 for cooker temp.
A $25 T-gauge would be a good investment to help sell it ...
Ever notice that both the jacks on the maverick can either be used for food or pit temp ?

That is one sweet rig. Very close to what I want mine to be. The onlymthingmwith mine is that I haven't put a shelf on it and there is nowhere to set stuff while you are cooking. I plan to build one that folds down and swings out to 90 deg so I can have it to my side.
I only have one question, why did you put the straight wheels on the light end and the casters on the heavy end? Just curious, and since the FB will be hot it would be harder to move once running. That is what I'm thinking.
At any case you did a nice job on the cooker that is for sure!

My thought was that it would be pushed from the FB end and I wanted to be able to spin from there. I didn't think very often that it would need to be moved while its running, if it needs to be spun to adjust for wind the rigid end is light enough on the wheels to be slipped around.
