I use 1/8" 6011 for all my stuff...I usually clean and come back over with 7018 to make it a little prettier. 3/32 or 1/8" just depends on how much I'm running. The 7018 also adds alot of strength but probably isn't needed as much because there isn't alot of stress or weight on the smoker anyway.
I use .023 or .030 for the sheet stuff I build with and backed up by C-25...

Thanks for the info....as for wire I'm looking for a mig just cant decide which one yet, I was thinking a Miller 252 should be good. Any recommendations?
I love my old 135 - but I'm not trying to build big stuff with it... fwiw.
I think the 140 replaced it with "Auto-set" ... ?
