Where where where

Post by johnney » January 11th, 2013, 11:02 am

I have been scouring the stores and shops and Craigslist and all that trying to find a disc. Is this something that I may have to order online?

I would think farm supply or implement suppliers would have new ones. As for a used one, ?????.

BBQ is just smoke and beers!
Usually more beers than smoke.

I didn't really want to order one, but it's looking like I don't have a choice. Nothing around here has one. But on the upside, I found my old turkey fryer burner, and I still works!

Is there a Rural King or Big R in your part of Illinois. They usually have tractor parts or used to when I was up in Pontiac & Paris Illinois

If it can't be smoked .... try frying it. It that don't work, it's probably best just left alone

Go to the dealers of Ag equipment. They rotate out whole disc sets and have used ones from time to time before they go to the scrap iron places... Call anyone you know that knows someone who farms ... they've usually got several in the scrap iron pile...

Got mine at a John Deere farm dealership one town over. It is a very good idea to sand blast the new disc surface off. It took hours to burn mine off :oopssign:

Having a blast :)
