So I'm just sitting in my easy chair last night watching TV and minding my own business then it pops in my head...
I'm sure I'm too late cause the customer has already picked up this rig and I know this is just a fanciful idea but it would sure look cool to put a 1/2" - 13 expanded steel collar on about 1 inch standoffs around that stack so it straddles the hinge bearing (same width) for the stack cap - kind of like a heat guard on a semi. Sand and clearcoat only so it would show up against the black stack behind it.... just bolt it on after painting ... maybe next project....
I don't know why I thought of that but it just jumped out at me.... I'll go sit in the corner now....

Rick I like your idea alot Rod crafter it only has intakes on one end I will talk to the guy and see how it performs tomorrow. I have picked up three more builds with some more potentials. A website is in the beginning stages. That half c clamp Tom has saved my bottom end many many times.
jethro's dad told me about that one a long time ago. Said they would fix water towers that way. Said it was to much trouble to wrap a strap all the way around to hold a patch plate in place.
awesome build!!! One question, the slide out grill rack, can you adjust the height?? if so, howd ya do it??? i have an idea, but i dont wana screw it up
