Wire diameter difference?

Post by KenV » April 22nd, 2013, 8:48 am

I have always run 035 Wire in my little flux core welder. I have seen comments made about running better with 030 Wire. What are the advantages of running the thinner wire?

Thanks!

You Are not using as many volts and amps and not as much strain on a smaller machine with a light duty cycle

Wire diameter difference?

Gotcha, I didn't know if it had anything to do with quality of welds. I may try it although I've never had any issues with my little POS welder.

Ken, I am not a great welder, but I run 35 in mine simply because it is a while lot cheaper.

Nothing I like more than to kick back with a Zima and a Virgina Slim reading 50 Shades of Grey with DCman (The Czar).
