In-CUBE-ator

Post by KenV » April 16th, 2013, 8:07 pm

Alright the name is bad, but here is my version of a square, insulated UDS. I needed a little break from the backwoods and thought about building a comp chicken cooker.
Here are a few pics of the build, just have to gasket the lid, install my exhaust and install thermo.
The charcoal drawer basket is 12"x18x8" and should hold a good amount of charcoal. The intakes are 2- 1 1/2" full port ball valves, a little overkill but I have a few laying around.
It is insulated with 1" ceramic blanket.
Hope to test fire it this weekend and then spray it with hi temp black.
