When your talking about 38 inches from frame to end of trailer tongue....are u talking about the tongue length? Probably dumb question but wanted to clarify. Also, are those 12 or 13" tires and whrrls? Thanks again or the help budTuscaloosaQ wrote:Yes I would move axel back I step my cookers into the frame and when I get the desired tongue weight I mark it or tack it in place. The desired tongue weight for me is by feel I do not want to bust a gut picking the front end up . Tongue weight is way overrated in my opinion I have built many trailers both cookers and other custom rigs and all of pull great. Just make sure your tongue Nd frame is square with the axel . I desire to get it within 1/8" corner to corner but 1/4" ain't the end of the world either
I personally go about 38 inches from frame to end of trailer tongue it is all about preference
thanks TQ...I will post some pics up soon so u can see my progress!TuscaloosaQ wrote:those are 12" on my last smaller trailer.... On your build I would go 13" And yes that is to the end of tongue from frame on the 38"
