RF project starting with a 250 gal. Propane tank

Post by GV/Welder » May 27th, 2013, 10:30 pm

I'm trying to use the pit calculator. Is there a calculator that will help me with determine firebox size and opening, stack size, how much room to leave at the end of the baffle plate, etc. or am I just not using this one correctly. I am new to this so don't be too hard on me. I'm starting with a 250 gal. Propane tank, that should be Available within the next month. I'm just trying to gather all info I can while I'm gathering materials.
Thanks for the help,
GV/Welder

I'm thinking you might not be using it correctly....but I don't use it since I have the maker of the calculator with me.....I would say give us your measurements and lets see if one of us can get a screen shot of the results....

If you can't fix it by sheer force or cursing......then it can't be fixed.....

Start by guessing a square measurement and then adjust to match the differential to 100% or greater. For example start with a 24x24x24 firebox and a 6" stack and then adjust to make the measurements what you want them to be.....
