I'm gonna toss in a thought here but if the pros want to set me straight I'm game for that. When I visualize a long firebox extending away from the CC I'm thinking that's a bunch of heat banging against the top that is going to be transferring to the outside air rather than through the metal adjacent to the smoker. I think that if you are planning on having an extended firebox then the placement of your basket inside really comes into play. If the fire basket is allowed to be positioned near the door then the efficiency of that burn is going to be considerably lower that say an equal burn that has the basket snugged up against the CC wall. for what its worth that my thought on this one.HARRY BARKER wrote:i got 24 wide x 24 tall x36 long for a 275 tank
