i cut out the bottom square for the ash catcher to get welded into

That is an awesome little cooker you got there just wondering if u have an ez way of getting the ash out of you ash catcher couldn't realy tell from the pics. :LG: look forward to seeing how it cooks

my plan for emptying the ash catcher is to cut out a 4x4" square... weld a 4x4x2" piece to ash box and make a lid that bolts holding it all together..
i got an idea in my head haha

i got some more work done today
made a handle for my dampener

i just tie wired it shut for test i still need some toggle clamps

I like it too! I was wondering if you are going to add a single tab above the other tabs in the rear of the CC to hold the shelves so they can't tip? It would only need one in the center, then you could just slide it in and not have to worry if it is balanced or not. Your doing great!

to be honest with you guys i already thought of doing that i'm just not sure if i want to use angle or flat bar haha its one of the last things to do

while i was building the racks kept falling out and i had panic for couple mins thinking how to counter that...

been a while since i've updated but since starting smoker i've become a busy bee but here is the updates

then it was off to the spice store for some supply's

The pics seam to make it look top heavy - does it seam stable? …cause I'm concerned about it getting knocked over… broader base possibly? :D

thanks for all the help/comments guys

as for the base those legs are 1x1" solid and the stand/base is 1/2" or so and rather heavy... i was planning on welding up some plate to each leg to help widen the stance out but as of now things are rather solid....

more updates to come.

It looks like it cooks great too!! You chose a hard to work with material, but you did a great job with it.
