Thanks dcman . I have been working on this for over a year now and i finally see the light at the end. What started out as a simple build, turned into what ya'll see here. I have posted the whole build here and i have told everybody about this site. I have leared alot of info here. I am cooking every weekend next month so i will post up some cooking pics.
And on the eighth day God created barbecue …. because he DOES love us and he wants us to be happy.
Current smokers: Egor (trailered RF) and Easybake (tabletop pellet drive)
Thanks guys. I'm trying to get the top painted tonight. I'm waiting on a quote for the canvas top. The top is going to be a Texas flag stretched over the steel structure. hence why i rolled the trusses and smoothed the ends.
I got the trailer and pit re-painted this past weekend. That was a chore for sure . I am having a issue trying to find a company to put on the tarp. I don't know were to look. I was thinking a truck tarp company at first. I made some calls and they just want to cut the material and not install it. A uplostery shop sounds like this is were i need to be? Any of you men have any sugestions . I want the tarp to stretch over and wrap back around a be sewn back to it's self. I don,t want it to be removed to hall down the road but i want a thick material that will last being exposed to the Texas sun for years to come.
WHAT??? No pics after the paint job??? You should know the rules by now Charlie. ha ha
Up here in the north there are companies that make custom boat covers. That's who i would contact if I were looking for a custom tarp. Not sure if they have these business's in TX.
Sorry "clover ridge" I was wooped last night when i got done. I let it stay over night in my shop. I am going to pull it out today and grab some pics for the masses. I called around at lunch today and got a sticker shock . First company said $950!! So i think i'm going to look some more. That company is a canvas, awning place. He specilizes in this stuff but i wasn't thinking it would be that hight since i fabed the top and sides. All they need to do is stretch the canvas over and wrep around the sides
Well i got some pics to show but this imageshack owns me? I can't figure out how to post pics insted of links. Wish there still was the old photobucket.
