Hit a roadblock on the door. Can't seem to get it to stay unsprung. It's also warped now. Think we might just get a new piece rolled.

Did you try a jack and chain to straighten it?

Brandenpro I used a floor jack and a chain and had success with one of my doors.

We got it. Tacked the frame around it, tacked it to the CC, cut the tacks and it sprung again.

Salem OR.

The car isn't mine, but its a 32 Ford coupe. My baby is a 73 Ford Bronco. Image

It's a little farther along then that pic. Needless to say between the Bronco and smoker my wallet has been taking a beating.

Glad you got it worked out.
Nice toy you got going there. Wishi could find time to tinker with my project mobile.

86 gal pressure tank build

Post by brandenpro » September 7th, 2013, 2:24 pm

Finally seasoning grill. I put a chimney of charcoal and 2 splits in. Added 2 more and temp probe reads 327 in about 30 min on the top rack. I thought it would take at least an hour. So is this ok? I hope I can choke it down and get back to 225ish by the time I try and cook.

86 gal pressure tank build

Post by brandenpro » September 7th, 2013, 11:53 pm

I did 1 rack 321. More like 2.5 2 and .5. The other just let em sit. We liked the let em sit much more.

Pretty happy with the smoker. I had a good feel pretty quick on how to manage temps. A chimney of charcoal will run it up to 300 quick.

Thanks for everyone's input. Hopefully I can help the next guy.

Little hunk of brisket flat. Man the stall is no joke. Ramped to 150, and thought my timing was gonna be way off. 150 to 203 is a long haul. No worried timing will be off the other way.

When the stall happens, you can't panic. Easier said than done.

If it has to be on a certain time, I do the " Texas crutch" and get-er done.
