As for some of your questions most of us use a 1/4 in plate some use heavier for the BP in our offset RF designs. I'm guessing that is what you are building. But see the thing is you can be very creative here, and we will try to help you along the way. If you would post the size of your tank and maybe some pics we will chime in and see if we can offer some help.
