best digital thermometer

My parents want to know what i want for christmas. So i'm thinking i need a digital thermometer. What is a good one? I've read about some maverick et732 and some others i can't remember. I need one i can grill with, smoke with eventually and the wife can use in the oven. Give me some opinins and places that have good deals on them.

You can also get longer thermocouples thru Amazon. They sell 6 footers that double for meat/CC probes. Just make sure they are for the 732.
