This is going to be cool I'm sure. I'm a bit jealous about the new materials and shear cuts. Well I'm glad someone gets it that nice, it may as well be you Gizmo. No drawings?
Current Smokers: Backyard RF Offset and Hybrid RF Offset trailer rig with Cowboy cooker and fish fryer, always room for more........
Drawings, ASME calcs, ANSI approval, Quake analysis, Wind tunnel charts, NDT and probably more. Just kiddin Gizmo, I'm sure it will be another fine build.
Thanks for the words of encouragement ….. I think …..
I'm not sure what style Egor is but I guess he's a center-feed back-fed RF.
He'll have about the same footprint as Edgar but a little over twice the grate area.
Mounted to a dedicated trailer for double-pulling.
I haven't taught myself how to post drawings yet - too busy building I guess.
Straight off the Pit Calc - no environmental impact studies were done …..
We shall see …..

Pete I LOVE that movie - watch it a couple times a year.
I actually searched the web and both spellings are correct depending on which country you're from.
Besides, Egor is part of the "E-series" of cookers. The "I" series will be nuclear powered and Harbor Freight doesn't sell uranium 234 …. YET.

Gizmo, nice start and these guys are right. You're rolling them out 1 after the other. Being a bit dazed and confused, is this the Firebox or Cook Chamber in the first photos? Is this a design on the fly or do you have a vision of the end result
Make no mistake, there ain't no powder in this Puff ! And... I'm not really a crazy person but I play one in real life
Vision … no ….. but I do have a hallucination of the finished cooker in what's left of my mind.
These pics are of the fire box. Thank goodness Ray (one of the fellows from Edna's Kids comp team) is helping me build Egor. Perhaps you've heard of the famous "Ray Spray"?" - same guy. We spray it on about everything but a broken heart around here.
It's the design/build method. For me it's a basic graph paper sketch to help me order materials. On this cooker I have to make sure my wheels and axle will fit once I get that far.
I guess you could say there's a fair amount of "design on the fly" because I reserve the right to change my mind if the notion hits me. It's one of the main things that makes this a great hobby - instead of a 9 to 5-er.

Got a little further the last couple days. The firebox is on it's back in these shots.
Fire basket and ash pan.
This is a trick to line up those pesky weld-on hinges so the door is easily removable - worked too!
The door is almost done - just needs a gauge. Starting to install the toggle latches here.
Once the gauge and latches are on, the FB will go in the corner of the garage while we build the CC.
