Post by Smokeone » December 29th, 2011, 9:28 am

i have been lurking for a while, trying to get thoughts and ideas for a "personal" smoker. i have been using cheap charcoal smokers for several years, and can get decent outcomes, but i want "MORE".i have to say this site is excellent and seems real "friendly" to the "new guy". keep up the great work. i look forward to interacting with youins.

Wander around and see what gets your attention. I am fairly new and have built 4 different smokers and like them all but, I use my uds the most due to convience. I made one from a 100 lb propane, it is a great size, a muds and a 130 gal propane. They all work great, for the need of the day, so to speak. See what grabs you and go bigger, trust me on that. Welcome and have fun.

Welcome to the site smokeone, glad you found us.

I must agree, check things out and when you deciede on a rig that you think will be just right, go a little bigger.
I have ended up with about 20 foot of enclosed trailer, I started smokin around 10 years ago.

I also on many occasions head to the UDS for a small smoke, there fast and easy.

Tom-I think this will be a pretty easy sell ;). She says it's the "rub" :P. I'm in St Clair off of I44.
Frank-That never seems to work in my favor! But as they say try, try again. I don't want to be a quitter.
