2014 Comp season under way!

Team SmokerBuilder is off to an awesome start!!! MTF and Smokeone could not be there for the first one this season at Smokin' On Big Creek (a KCBS Sanctioned Contest) in Pleasant Hill, MO but TheCzar and I did really well! Wound up with 1st place chicken and 23rd overall out of 75 teams. I Gotta give a shout out toTrunkSlammer! He ran our chicken turn in to make it to the table with 10 seconds left to spare!!!! so no pics of the turn in box for chicken but I do have some of the practice chicken I cooked last Friday which was real close! here are a buncha pics of the season so far.

Our first comp is in 2 weeks … judging in North Platte the following weekend and we're all still cussing and discussing the rest of the season so far…. if we can just win that new car at this first one then the decision would be easier….

The UDS smokers seem to work best if you "Talk" to them first. I think that's how the 1st place chicken happened hahaha
