That sounds like a lot of weight for a 3500# axle and if not properly laid out it might end up all jammed together. jm2cw.

Thanks big t. That's the last thing I want is for it all to come crumbling down. I don't know what to do, I really want the ability to grill as well.

I think you can get all the items you want on the trailer for sure and it will be nice. I would put a cooker on each side so it will balance out the weight. Then the basket and disco opposite as well. 6 feet between the finders should get all of this done nicely. You will need to do the math to see if you will need 2 axles, I would go that way myself without even doing the math.

Got some odds and ends done today like the grates done, some little latches on the cc door to help seal it. We are leaving for vacation this weekend. When I come back I am going to build the trailer then start putting all together.

Sorry no pics but almost finished. Should have the trailer finished this week. All that's left are handles, the stack, and to get everything on the trailer. I scored a sweet 24x24 stainless flat top to put on it as well. Where is the best place to get cool touch handles.

I usually get 10 at a time and save a little money. But this is where I've been getting mine.

Well I stuggling with deciding if I should move my axel back some. I have never built a trailer and where the axel is now was suggested to my by my cousin that makes horse tailers. I don't know what to do. I can access the whole cook chamber and since I have slide out racks it's pretty easy to use the grates even when standing in front of the wheel. The hardest part is opening the door, but I thought about adding a counter weight so it should be a lot easier.

I think you would probably want to have a couple hundred pounds of tongue weight. By the looks of your picture it looks like you might have too little weight but I don't build trailers and I don't know what else you might put on the front of your trailer to add tongue weight. Somebody with more knowledge will chime in I'm sure.

I don't think there will be enough tongue weight either, I still brave to put the warming cabinet on. The front will have a stainless griddle that is at least 150# and a wood rack that will probably be 4x2

Oh and the trailer 4x10 with 8 feet in front of the fb
