Do you have a smaller design with great efficiency in mind? That has got to be where I go next. Take a look for a series of posts on a center feed by " petesmeat ". You may find this to be a bit different. This is where I was heading before the gravity feed bug had bitten me. Likely this is my next build. I am lucky in the respect that I have two 80 gallon air compressor tanks in my yard begging to be cut and assembled. They are getting done, but not as immediately.
Make no mistake, there ain't no powder in this Puff ! And... I'm not really a crazy person but I play one in real life
The possibilities are endless. It really depends on your plans for all your smokers. I would lean for some sort of RF whether it's center feed or offset. Great to keep or sell.
These are the two I've built looking for something different I'm probably going to sell one of the ones I've built not sure which one but I want to start another build first just can't decide what
I would agree that it depends on what you're looking for in a cooker. I personally like the offset RF smokers but I enjoy hanging out around my smoker tending the fire and drinking a few cold ones. I also prefer the smoky flavor of a stick burner to charcoal but there's nothing wrong with cooking with charcoal. jm2cw
You know, Big T, I'd forgotten that the wood here is free. It's all oak but it's free. I also agree about tending the fire and enjoying a beverage. It is a nice day.

Big T brings up a great point. The meat turns out very different on a stick burner than any other smoker. Build something that matches the flavor profile you like.
