Alright I haven't been keeping up with the pictures but here's what I've accomplished in the past couple nights. I've got the stainless tables mocked up where they're going to go and started to the frame for where the doors will go underneath them for storage, the fenders are installed, I framed out the firebox in 1.5" angle iron, got the air intakes finished, and made a cap for the smokestack.

Alright I have a question. I'm wanting to make the 150 gallon a huge propane grill. I'm thinking about dividing the tank in half with a 1/4" plate and making a triple burner like the one in the picture. Do you guys think this will work? If anyone has a better idea I'll listen.

I'm wanting to make this 150 gallon into a huge propane grill but put a plate vertically in between the two doors so I don't have to heat the whole thing if i don't have to. My idea is to make a triple burner for each side under the slide out grates.

Alright I found some threads on gas and Franks safety thread and now I'm really thinking the way to go is just stick with my first plan of making it a charcoal and wood grill. Getting burned or blowing up is really on my hobby list.

Well let me ask yall this. What if i just made my hook up to where i could just set a propane tank next to the firebox or the deep fryer burners in the back to where i could hook up a regular bbq grill regulator and hose to it. That would be safe right? It would be the same thing as frying something in the backyard.

I'm joining this thread pretty late. Not sure I understand your question, but I hope you aren't asking about adding a propane burner to your FB.

No im going to have 2 burners beside the firebox for warming beans or anything else i can think to put on them. Im just asking if it would be alright to just mount the fryers to the trailer and when i need them just unhook a propane tank from the front of the trailer and hook it up to the burners and have the tank as far away from the firebox as possible.

OK, glad to hear that. I see no reason that wouldn't work. Just make sure all hoses and tanks are kept away from the FB

Right. The propane tanks will ride and be mounted on the front of the trailer. I was thinking about making a removable pipe burner for the firebox to help start the fire but make it hook up the same way and make it long enough to where the hose will stay out of the firebox. Yes or no.

Absolutely NOT!! That is one of the most dangerous things you can do. Please forget about adding any type of burner to the FB unless you plan on spending BIG money to add all the safety equipment needed to ensure you don't hurt yourself or someone else. This topic comes up every so ofter on the forum and those of us with lots of experience will tell you it's not worth the risk. Honestly all you need is a charcoal chimney and some charcoal and you can build a fire fast.

So just fill that up with charcoal and light it and put wood around it? Sorry for the stupid questions.

Frank has a great video that I think will answer your questions on starting the charcoal.
