Q 39 is a must try.. It's in kcmo. And also plowboys.. It's located 20 minutes east of kc. With a little notice I can try to meet up with ya's. After these two......Bryants will seem like gas station food.
Thanks! My dad and cousin really like bbq and i only know of places i read about, never been to KC. Thats why i asked, take it from those that know good food. Reviews online are so mixed.
Tom he is rebuilding a glass furnace, i think in North KC.
So far, a few of us are going to come out mid-late march fri morning - sun evening. Might end up only 2 of us or myself. Flights are cheap $220. Id spend more than that in fuel.
Heck ya on the flights. But if gas keeps going down we will be driving for free. 1.69 for unleaded here. I think the weekend you come down that Frank should drive up.
I would say plowboys and Q39 are deff great, for a different feel/approach to BBQ Mondays Grinders has a BBQ plate.
Joe's KC is also awesome (formally Oklahoma Joes)
I don't care for Famous Daves really, avoid Dixons' like it will get something on you, and the original Smokehouse BBQ on North Oak Trfkwy isn't bad at all, but its rather un-original.
