I thought the baffle plate gap was the throat, so I had that wrong. Just to be sure I have it right now - the baffle plate gap should be slightly smaller than the fire box opening (throat), right?Pete Mazz wrote:For clarification:
The Throat opening is the firebox to cook chamber opening. The baffle plate or reverse flow gap is the at the end of the baffle plate where the heat/smoke enters the upper cook chamber.
