Ya know, if you jam a welding rod thru a hot dog!!!!! :wtf: Then when you get half the rod burnt up, the hot dog is cooked. Thats the next best thing to smoking when the rig is still not finished.

I wounder if your would get different flavor by using different rods, say 6010, 7028, 7018, 6013.

maybe the 7018 would taste a little like hickory and the 6010 like maple? :biggrillin:

mike, I am a bit late for this party sorry I missed most of it. :oopssign: Your cooker looks fantastic I love it. :LG:
I was a bit confused at first reading through it then I realized Tom was posting the pics. Looking through it and seeing all the tools and pieces you incorporated into the build is cool. :points: Very nice work I look forward to seeing some pics of her fired up.

Well I fired up Lucy last night and several 12 pks later she has been primed in some southern pecan wood and worked great. Today i smoked some chicken and potatoes, she kept at 225 all the way through im extremly happy with it. Now I just got to get her painted and moved to the resturant.

what a great build mike. Having all those pics really shows all your hard work you put into it to make a great smoker. Using all-thread to adjust your chicken racks was a neat idea.
Thanks again for sharing, I love this site!!!!! :kewl:
