Your right Frank!, but you could be forgiven for doubting it lately, mostly it only disrupts doing drainage at work, at home the shed has a roof so let it rain!!, it`s just getting a bit cramped in there at the moment!
after yesterdays effort I had a nice big rib steak for tea!, even the missus gave it the thumbs up!

Image

today I welded the legs up and attached the firebox to the C/Chamber and put the flanges on the door, happy with what I got done today!, I`m sitting here typing and drinking a nice cold XXXX gold beer or two!
here`s some pic`s from today, I think my welding is getting better, thats a bonus!

it`s funny! when I brought this tank home I needed my engine hoist to lift it, but now that there are some hand holds it`s not that bad to move around, back is a bit sore tho!

Image

and this is how she stands at the moment!, bring on the beer!

Well it`s been rainning here for a couple of days now!, so there not much we can do at work, but there is work in the shed I can do!! :welder:
I have decided on a name for the smoker, it`s IRON FIRE, thses a pic later on that explanes the name!, I have tacked the chimney damper on and have started doing the baffle plates.
This 5mm steel sure chews through the 1mm s/steel blades!, anyhow heres some pics of my progress, I hope you enjoy them!

the chimney damper, a copy of a great and simple idea!
Image

in the open position
Image

starting to scribe in the baffle plates,

Image

and the reason I decided to call it IRON FIRE!, what do you recon ?

Image

Image

Image

I made it out of horse shoes!, it`s suposed to be flames coming out of the chimney!, it sits above the dampner, so it can still be opened and closed
hopefully the smoke will rise up through the flames and give a good effect!, or do you think I`ve been looking at the arch too much! :explode2:
