THERE'S that pot of Pintos!
Notice the bricks under the pot?
Once she gets boiling pretty good(he completely stuffs said firebox FULL of wood,so it gets plenty hot!I know,I know,ROOKIE) we set her on the"simmer stones".Lifts it off the heat a touch.
Yesterday's cook while watching Football.
Nice big pot of Pintos.Yes those are carrots you see,not sure why,but they tasted good.
Couple racks of Spares and some Yard bird.
Talk about Redneck, that stirring spoon is a wooden oar cut in half and using the handle part as the stirrer.
Comes in handy when we cook a 10 gallon pot of Gumbo.
Here's another pic of the pipe( instead of a BP,this uses a,what looks like,8" pipe with 4" square holes)
Occasionally we use this thing. An old Bakers cart. It's pretty thin aluminum, but because of the stainless FB and a couple old Bean cans(zoom in,lol)to direct the heat,it doesn't affect it much.
We did 16 racks of Spares last summer in it.
.
Another friend just donated a smaller one.guess we'll build that soon.
