First build: some pics along the way

Post by Cooksomerice » March 19th, 2016, 12:31 pm

I'm about 3 months into my first build. Mostly a couple of hours a week here and there, but it 's coming along nicely.
I don't weld or fabricate, self taught with equipment I purchased second hand.
Pretty standard story I imagine.
Here we go:Image2 150 gallon tanks
Image 1/8 2" ST
Imagetatp served as my shop
Imageplugged some holesImagesurrendered the longer welds to someone with skill

Used Felton's calc and ended up with a 71" CC, 23" SC. Grates and smoke stack are next. I'll post more when I get it back from the shop. Should be announcing my first smoke by Easter.

Hey Pete....this is a clean site.....stop with the 4 letter words (wife)....it just reminds me of something else I blew off to spend the day in the shop!
