Started off this weekend by grinding off that enormous annoying spiral weld on the front of the door
Took about 45min with the 7inch grinder

Thought all those axe handles were a cool idea so decided on that for the handle

First fire!! woohoo! Threw in some almond wood and cranked it up to 400F. Wipe the whole inside down with oil and let it go for 4hrs.

After it was seasoned threw on a pan of chicken thighs, why waste the heat

Thing works outstanding, even with the warps in the door that we haven't put gasket on yet I was putting a split on every hour or so and kept steady at 275. Was getting nothing but clean heat out of the stack too, first time using a horizontal smoker.
