Are you thinking reverse flow? Mine is a 24inch dia by 48 inch long pipe. That means my usable main rack is about 23.5 inches wide by 40 inches long. Plenty big for me and what I do but I'm guessing a bit small for a piggie. I'm sure someone will throw you a size recommendation if you need it.
Welcome to the crew. I would recommend something like "Mack" he would give you the room and still be sorta small. The extra space in the WC is great too. Search Mack and take a look
Making memories.
Current Smokers: Backyard RF Offset and Hybrid RF Offset trailer rig with Cowboy cooker and fish fryer, always room for more........
As a relative newbie here myself, I recommend reading as many threads on here as you can. And as RC says Mack is a good place to start: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=4100
There is a lot of valuable info to be gleaned from these folks. They are willing to help. All you gotta do is ask.
Thanks to all.
but
Like I said I am new to the site. I have just now found my post and apologize for a late thank you for the replies.
I do plan to build a reverse flow.
The MACK smoker looks very nice.
I have searched for a 250 gallon propane tank but have had no success. However I do have an air tank which is approx. 5' long and 24" diameter with 3/16" wall thickness that I will probably use as the cooker and then make a firebox from plate material.
I haven't decided whether to build a warmer or not at this time.
It will probably be a slow build with my schedule but hopefully by next spring I will have it ready to go.
