I'm looking to build a vertical smoker but not sure on what gauge metal would be best to use. Looking at 48 inches tall by 18 1/2 wide and 18 1/2 deep.

I would think that if its insulated & use square tube frame then 16ga should be good enough, but I would use 14 or 12 if it's not. :kewl:

I know this is old, but I just looked at the post and saw the red cooker on the back of a truck... does this thing raise up into position or was this an early pic before it got mounted on a trailer or whatever?
