Well this weekend didn't get a lot done with having to work around the house and the fact that I left my gas valve on and it had a slow leak so I nearly lost all my Argon/CO2. I just had it refilled. :oopssign:

I did get the inside back panel, inside bottom panel, inside top panel, and inside right panel fitted and some tacked in place before I ran out of Argon/CO2.

You can see where I am raising the front up some so I can make a shorter front door and this will raise my slam door latch a few inches higher. Next up will be to get more shielding gas and finish tacking in the panels and flipping it upside down to weld all of the bottom and and put on the outside bottom panel.

Only had today to work on the smoker as yesterday was a 3/4 work day and then dinner with the family. Got a lot finished today as I finished up welding the interior except for the shelf racks. Bottom is all welded and exterior bottom plate in place. I opted to use a stainless catch pan for the drain and will use gasket material to seal it. Welded in the entire firebox assembly and so all I have left is to do is the air intake, the last supports, the front door and then insulate it and put the exterior skins on.

Ok, so listen. Once in a while with tap a talk there is a slight issue with pics.

Mainly it happens when the particulate molecules of your available Internet connection become cluttered. This is when the problem starts.

Main symptoms are pics don't show up any more.

Solution, quit letting The czar use your computer to look at dirty pics.

Another short weekend of fabricating. Got the Left Side and Back Panels installed. The Top along with the exhaust stack installed. Racks installed and decided to go with 4 instead of 5 so I have a full 6 inches in between the racks. I may add a few more sliders in later if I decide I need more for ribs or chicken. Started to cut the pieces for the racks then the wife needed the 220 for the drier.

Still waiting for my CyberQ to arrive so I can finish up with Intake. Next weeks plan is to finish the racks, doors and the intake.

Side Panel Installed. Going to put a stainless grab bar/towel hanger on this side.

From View of Racks Installed and 1 frame for the rack.

Had a few hours to work on the racks so welded them up and slid them into place. I may put in three more rack sliders to give me a total of seven so I can do a boat load of chicken quarters and ribs.

I received my CyberQ so I will be working on the air inlets tomorrow and hopefully get it all the external panels in place.

Here are the pics:

Very nice, I did the same and put 7 in mine, I did it mostly for the jerky. It holds a good 25 pounds that way. Image

RC, I love to make jerky too but my Traegers just doesn't hold enough so I normally don't make a lot. How far apart are your racks? Can you fit chicken quarters on there? I bought some frog mats that are awesome for doing jerky and smoked salmon. Easy to clean silicone.

Mine are 3-1/2" inches apart I believe, the foil pans fit just right if that helps. I have thought about getting some of those mats to check out.
