Just to make sure I understand you correctly, you went with the 800F Nomex gasket?Dirtytires wrote:I went to the sister site bbqsmokersupply.com- the link is on the main page under parts.
My firebox is flat and fits snug so I went with the self adhesive 1/4 by 1/8 inch from lava rock. It was like $15 bucks for a roll. It has lasted many heat cycles just fine and if it needs replaced, it's easy to scrape off the old and stick on a new one....and it's pretty cheap so I won't feel bad if needed.
Make sure the site is clean and dry. Once it's on it's stuck good so only peal off a bit of backing at a time. I then put a bit of pressure on my door and let sit for 24 hours to get a good seal/adhesion.
And....the purchase helps keep the lights on this site so we all win.
Sounds like an awesome plan!Rodcrafter wrote:I would love to come to your area. Maybe you should host a gathering. Then we could all go to the outback and cook some wild stuff you guys have there.
