555 gal tank would be huge. Might need to knock a bit off it and use the leftover as a firebox.

As long as you have the tools and lifting capability it's doable. It'll take longer to heat up but will hold it longer. You'll have to counterweight the doors or use a cable system.
If it's tourist season, how come I can't shoot 'em?
If I were to recommend a method of using that tank, this is so the way I would say go. It does take a little longer to get fully heated up, but you can open the doors and not have to hurry and get them shut again because the temp will hardly vary once heated.
