Been playin in the shed again

Post by Squiggle » January 2nd, 2017, 2:16 am

After I showed my brother the heater I made a few months ago he asked if I could make a grill/heater for him to take camping & this is what I came up with. Same stencil but I made a swing out grill plate & a lip around to plate to stop anything rolling off.

I will be making another heater soon & this one will have a different stencil. :kewl:

Nice... :-bd Although a tad large to put in knapsack. Perhaps the camping is glamping?

You got a stash of those old Origin gas cylinders? Or are your neighbours wandering what ever happened to their outdoor cylinders :D

Nicely done and very useful top too. :points:

Thanks dude.

Ok, more 4wding & then camping at the end, definitely not glamping. :D

He lives up at Robina so I've gotta figure out the best way to get it there.

Yeah I kind of do, there's a origin place near by that let's me take the expired bottles off their hands real cheap. :kewl:

It's going incredibly well, we are just starting the tourist season so it's ramped up big time. Everyone is lovin the smoked stuff, ribs, pulled pork & chicken. I've been spending most nights smoking stuff & getting not much sleep, but I'm lovin it!! :kewl:

Very nice. Must take a bit to cut out the fishes. Steady hand and template I guess.
Very shiney stack as well. You are getting your professional on now.

Yeah I had a bit of luck scoring the chrome stacks from the scrap yard & I start with a stencil for the cut outs but most of it's done freehand cause the stencil burns off pretty quick after doing the larger parts. :kewl:

What falling back or quitting the restaurant business? Or perhaps as a sideline to supplement the income whilst pulled pork burgers are gaining bad boy status?
