Yep, measurement is for double Banquet Pan. Have absolutely no idea how big that is though. Google was not my friend... unless I was looking for electric frypans.
I've recently finished building a double pan gravity feed monster and I can state is is big... very big and heavy. But it works soooo well.

And on the eighth day God created barbecue …. because he DOES love us and he wants us to be happy.
Current smokers: Egor (trailered RF) and Easybake (tabletop pellet drive)
A Banquet pan is also known in the culinary industry as a hotel pan (http://www.culinarylore.com/tools:what-is-a-hotel-pan) they come in different depths and sizes but the full size ( also known as a "one pan") fits into the smoker 2 length-wise per rack. Hence double banquet pan.
they also are called steam pans because they fit perfectly into a steam table. Which is a nice feature as u can take it directly out of your smoker and slice/shred or whatever you wish and put directly into a steam table for service, at a banquet perhaps? you did let that meat rest first though didn't you?
The one thing I notice on the Clones you all build is the "Heat transfer channel" I like that better. I used a tube like Stumps uses and ended it about mid chamber and use my water pan as a deflector. I like the channel version as it looks like it would distribute the heat more evenly.
Can anyone tell me the difference from Roxul Rockboard 80 and Comfortboard 80. I can get Comfortboard locally, but Rockboard I will have to get it delivered.
I'm going to try something a little different because I have the materials on hand. Im going to try 2, 1-1/2 pipes with a bunch of holes drilled on the bottom side. I will then place a V shaped water/drippan on top to hopefully make the smoke come out the front and back evenly. I hope this will become adjustable by covering more or less holes on each side until its even. I will post pictures when I get it done.
Looks awesome. You guys have me wanting to build one. Mentioned it to the wife last night and she said didn't I have some other things to do... Took her 5 minutes to come up with something.
Bad move mentioning to the missus. Sometimes it is better to ask forgiveness than permission.
