Standard Offset to RF Conversion by Fishless Mickey

Post by Quid Pro Q » March 10th, 2017, 2:08 pm

I finally took RC's advice and this morning, dropped my smoker off with Fishless Mickey(Mike). Here's what we're starting with:

Fishless will be dropping the fire box, adding a stack, raising the grates and adding the reverse flow system. also going to re-work the legs and get rid of the wheels. safety first. More picks to come as the work progresses.

I've seen a few of his builds on the forum so you should be in good hands.

The only concern I have...is was he wearing a skirt at the time the deal was made?

I think after the mods, it'll work perfectly. I've seen friends use their's without any problems.

On thing in doing on this as well is adding a Thermoworks Smoke as it's main thermometers. Going to add a magnetic L bracket to the side of the tower and run the two ambient temp probes to each chamber.
