Do you a link to those videos?Big T wrote:I saw some video's that Frank put up but I haven't used one. It's probably going take a few test runs to figure out what works best for you. I would try it 1/2 open the first run and then go from there.

go there and check them all out. I set mine for 30% open. I have been using it for over a year now on my drum and typically cook between 250F and 300F. I have up to 28 hour burns during testing at that setting. of course I'm in missouri and about 1200 feet above sea level so results may vary other places. during the longest test burns I was not cooking. just letting it run and I shook the drum the next morning.
also please note I have the entire kit including our square basket with block off plate and heat shield
awesome! Post some pics of it in use if you don't mind!!ETarrant wrote: Sounds great, I have the heat shield also, no block off plate, thks for the info

When you got those temps, did you have a gasket on the lid? Is it necessary to have a gasket to stay at a consistent good temp? (225-250). I have the hinge you sell for the uds but I don't have a gasket, if I attach the hinge without the gasket would the hinge have to be readjusted for a gasket later on? What gasket would you recommend?Frank_Cox wrote:I did make some facebook videos. They are on this page.....
