Look for castable refractory cement and you can pour exactly what you want . It's basically firebrick in a bag ..

Looking good there Squiggle.

So I'm getting so close it stings, I'm just so amped to finish this thing. All I've got left is the handle, a hole to put the probes through & then paint. Then it's just season & Qview time, yippee!! :D

I finished the doors today. Put the thermos in, did the handles & latch, I also put a shelf for the charcoal chimney

I wanted to do the Mack style latch but, realistically, I just didn't have the room for it. I checked for any chance of twisting diagonally in the doors so I decided to do a simple latch at the top. :kewl:

Very nice.
Just one thing bothering me Squiggle. In the pic of the completed thing is the top of the cc level? It looks like it runs downhill left to right a tad.
Not nitpicking or anything, just that your cup of cocoa could spill if you put it on top... :D

Don't you worry your pretty little head AJ, the floor outside my shed slopes left to right for drainage away from the shed. :D Well spotted though & it's definitely a challenge getting something level when the floor isn't. :kewl:

Hahaha...
Don't you worry your pretty little head AJ,
Squiggle there is absolutely nothing pretty about my head mate. Stereotypical 66 year old "bikie" chrome dome with goatee. Nothing pretty at all. :D

So I finally got some time to put the handle on, buff it back & paint, can't wait to season it(hopefully in the next few days) then fire it up for some long awaited Qview, stay tuned the station you are now watching. :kewl:

That scrubbed up pretty decent Squiggle. Can't wait to see how it performs and of course the mandatory Q-view.

Wombat should do it or else Junior. Although it is not that much smaller than your mini...
